MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Global Citizenship Experience High School (GCE) is to inspire students to find their purpose; prepare them to think for themselves and care about others; and connect them with the world through their academic subjects.
FINANCIAL AID:
GCE offers financial aid for 50 percent of its students.
FACULTY:
GCE's faculty is a diverse and talented team of "master learners"-90 percent have advanced degrees, and 70 percent are international. All faculty engage in 350+ hours of professional development annually.
UNIQUE STUDY OPTIONS/PROGRAMS:
GCE's City2Classroom program features corporate and nonprofit partners contributing real-world case studies, guest workshops, and field experiences embedded in every course. GCE offers an integrated curriculum, uniting academic disciplines with inquiry- and problem-based learning. Blended learning occurs via GCE's brick and mortar school that has all of its curriculum offerings accessible online. We are aligned with U.S. Common Core Standards (skills) and with U.N. Millennium Development Goals (values).
CUSTOMIZED EDUCATION PROGRAM:
For students with nontraditional schedules and the capacity and motivation to learn independently and at an advanced pace, our Customized Education Program offers flexible yet immersive and intensive educational programming.
VALUE PROPOSITION:
Together, GCE and our City2Classroom partners create intellectually inspired, socially responsible graduates who demonstrate five attributes of a Global Citizen: purpose, autonomy, achievement, accountability, and gratitude. The result is a generation of citizens who are as compelled to help neighbors on their block as they are to make meaningful change around the world.
