British School of Chicago
The British School of Chicago's mission is to inspire worldclass learning, from the academic program to the rich and diversified extra-curricular opportunities. We foster an understanding of our own identity, encourage curiosity and awareness of all people and countries to become true global citizens.
We award scholarships to ten percent of our students, and are currently offering reduced tuition at the high school level with a two- to four-year commitment.
Our teaching staff is highly qualified, experienced, and trained in the United Kingdom. They participate in regular, ongoing professional development programs to ensure that learning and teaching standards remain high and that practice in the classroom and beyond is exceptional.

We are located in the popular Lincoln Park area, with easy access from I-94 and the CTA Red Line.

EXTRA CURRICULAR PROGRAMS:
Students can participate in a range of academic clubs and athletic activities. They are welcome to join various bands, theater production and art clubs. As members of the Chicago Area Middle School League, the school participates in many traditional sports as well as rowing, fencing and rock climbing. Other activities include fine arts, foreign language, and special interest clubs.
UNIQUE STUDY OPTIONS/PROGRAMS:
Offerings include nursery enrichment programs, International Primary Curriculum, International General Certificates of Secondary Education courses, and the International Baccalaureate Programme.
We believe a school is much more than just a building-it is a community of people with a shared vision, which ensures that everyone here is able to be successful, and, most importantly, enjoys the experience. We believe education can make a difference, and that the skills and enrichment we offer can make a better future for all our children.
