Michael Jordan's suburban mansion listed for $29 million
Michael Jordan's mansion in north suburban Highland Park is listed for $29 million.

(Crain's) — Michael Jordan's longtime mansion in Highland Park has been put up for sale.
The basketball great's 56,000-square-foot-house is listed for $29 million, according to a news release from Baird & Warner Inc., the Chicago brokerage hired to sell the property.
Built between 1993 and 1995, the house features nine bedrooms, 15 bathrooms and an indoor regulation basketball court with “specially cushioned hardwood flooring” and “competition-quality high-intensity lighting,” the release says.
"We believe that it not only is the highest priced property in Chicagoland, but the Midwest . . . and we also believe it to be the highest priced home ever for our market," Jim Schiefelbein, senior vice president-marketing at Baird & Warner, said in a statement emailed by a spokesman.
Mr. Jordan, who led the Chicago Bulls to six NBA titles, was inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame in 2009. He became the majority owner of the Charlotte Bobcats in 2010.
He and his former wife Juanita raised their three children in the house. The couple divorced in 2006.
